A modern furniture factory ready for the future

"Exports from the Kohtla-Järve factory to Finland began in the early 1990s; before that, production was mainly aimed at the local market. From the very beginning, current members of TNC’s ownership were involved, and we quickly realized the factory’s potential. We were interested in developing the operation, and when the deal was finalized, it marked a whole new era in the long history of the furniture factory.

At first, we manufactured component products, mainly carcass components. There was also customer demand for doors, among other things – and that’s how it started: we gradually expanded production from countertops, fittings, and other parts to complete solutions. A diverse product selection has enabled stable growth for our company, as we can serve a wide customer base and are not dependent on individual market segments.

Today, TNC’s Estonian factory is a modern production facility with around 130 employees. Retention is minimum, and people enjoy their work: the majority of our staff has worked at the furniture factory for over 20 years.

What matters most to us is responsibility – both environmental and social – and we continuously work to improve our operations throughout the entire production chain."

TNC-Nordic Oy, which coordinates sales, is the parent company of our business family, operating in Finland and the Baltics as well as Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Denmark. The subsidiary TNC-Components manufactures the products in Estonia.

Our company’s story dates back to 1952, when a factory producing kitchen products was established in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia – the predecessor of TNC-Components. A Finnish touch was added in 2001 when the factory came under the ownership of a South Ostrobothnian family.
